1969 Gibson Byrdland SOLD

1969 Gibson Byrdland Thinline Archtop Electric Guitar, Sunburst refinish - originally shipped as natural. Carved Spruce top, carved flame maple back, flame maple sides and neck, ebony board with mother of pearl block position markers. Gold hardware, good condition, newer gibson es 175 case.

Introduced in 1955 as the first Gibson thinline archtop guitar, the Gibson Byrdland has at various times been available in either a rounded Venetian cutaway as seen here, or in the pointed Florentine cutaway, or both. In 1969, both styles were available.
